Crews plans Shelby Farms development
Crews Investment Properties has purchased a five-acre parcel on Raleigh-LaGrange Road, adding to already substantial holdings adjacent to Shelby Farms.
The recent acquisition brings Crews' total holdings to 71 acres, where it plans to construct a mixed-use development still in the planning stages.
The majority of the development will be office, the bulk of which will most likely be medical office, says Peter Shea, head of marketing for Crews, adding that some retail and residential may be a part of the plan.
"If there is a retail element in our development, it will be integrated into the development in such a way as to not dominate the aesthetics," he says. "It will be pedestrian friendly."
Crews acquired the five-acre parcel, which housed Eden Kennels, on June 9 from the Hoisington family. Tucker Beck of Crye-Leike Commercial represented the family in the $750,000 sale.
